New Mexico Drunk Busters Hotline at #DWI has helped put many impaired drivers behind bars

According to the State of New Mexico Department of Public Safety, the Drunk Busters Hotline at #DWI has made a tremendous impact in the arrest of DWI offenders in New Mexico since its inception in January 2006.

For the months of January and February 2012, the following statistic were recorded;

January:

Incoming calls-1382

Contacts made-135

DWI arrests-23

February:

Incoming calls-1421

Contacts made-147

A reminder by the New Mexico State Police to everyone traveling on New Mexico Highways advises to report suspected impaired driving to the #DWI Hotline.

Do not forget that being impaired and operating a motor vehicle is a deadly combination. Those who choose to drink and drive will be stopped and arrested.
