SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -- A China Grove man is in custody after deputies say they found black tar heroin at his home.
James Lee Jackson, 25, of China Grove, is charged with trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, conspiring to traffic in opium and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the home Tuesday on Shue Road after receiving several complaints about possible drug activity at the home from the public.
The black tar heroin was packaged in three small balloons. It was taken by deputies.
Jackson was processed at the Rown County Jail.
